Nice article about Tom and good to hear that he's not been forgotten because he doesn't write all his own material! (Not a real singer/songwriter, then!).
I live in the UK and he was very influential for me and introduced me to other great writers. I owe him.
When you hear some of the banal dross, "That I wrote myself yesterday", and some of the irrelevant dirges that are 'performed' "..because they're part of our traditional heritage"
make me want to weep.
