I'll never forget a dinner at my sister's house about 3-4 years ago. My youngest nephew (then about 6-7 years old), who has fairly bad manners in all respects, reached for something across the table and received a gentle reminder tap on the knuckles with his grandfather's fork. My sisters and I all quickly drew our hands off the table and then looked at each other and started laughing. The funny thing was, I'd never actually gotten the corrective tap as a child so I have no idea why I reacted to it. :-)
