You were mild mannered, Dave. You should hear me when a kid is sitting in the elderly or handicapped seats.

At the top of my voice I ask, "Are you handicapped?"

They can hardly get up fast enough.

As to your encounter... I'd say you did the right thing. She was trying to humiliate an elder. You showed her (and yourself)that you were wiser and more deserving of respect. At least you walked away with your self-respect intact.
