Dear Mom,

The Mayor has taken it into his little head to have a City Leadership Summit out at Jim Rogers' ranch (vide this Jim Rogers and it starts promptly at noon today. It's just out past Fire Station 5, so it's not far off, but it will run until 8:30 p.m. today and until noon tomorrow. All Department heads and the whole damned City Council is expected to be there, so I will be sorta out of touch for a bit. Please don't punish me for hanging around with politicians and other low-lifes; I'll also be hanging around with Good Folks who work for a living.
