kat - I don't believe what is going on at the moment. All I want to do is listen to Episode XXXII. When I was writing my thanks to Alison for the H'b'day BB thread, the fire siren went off. No probs, I'm too old (and inflammable) to be a member of the Volunteer Fire Brigade.

My automatic "OUT" sign-off, above, was when the siren went on the second time, and stayed on. That's the CDD "all hands" callout. Third time it's happened in the last decade - a bloody false alarm! I "rode to the end of the road" on the back of a truck, in the bloody cold.

Y'know, wee tart, timezones make this neck o'th'wood a wee tad lonesome. You lot can yap to each other in all-but real time. I sent out an invite on Alison's Birthday thread for others from other timezones to join me here, maybe some Aussies are still around, some Kuwaitis are on the job, and some Poms are rubbing the sleep out of their eyes.
