Poem 212 of 230: REMEMBER THEM?

Back when we became defenders
    (We have plainly been attackers)
Defenders¡¦ blood, sweat and years
    Were paid to keep a good home-way -
A way yet to be part stealth-blown
    As mass immigration gained-sway,
And as we slipped as maintainers.
