Subject: BS: wot net not?
Any crafty people out there?
I've got a load of baler twine and I want to make a net patch, to mend a big hole in my flock net (shouldn't have loaded it onto the wheelbarrow without checking it wasn't tangled in the wheel). My chickens keep escaping.
So I started by cutting the bits into horizontals and verticals (warp and weft), then googled for the knot to use.
I found there were 2 kinds of net - single strand and multi strand. Single strand net needs a sheet bend knot, and is made using one continuous piece of string wound on a netting needle.
I'm not sure if multi strand means lots of bits of string, and if it so what knot I'll use. I thought the loose ends would be useful for tieing it in to the existing net.
