A Song about Shors
My (very) rough translation of the lyrics. Unsingable.
Along the riverbank marched a company, had been marching far, marching under the red banner, an officer. Head bandaged, blood on the sleeve, bloody tracks left along the grass.
"Lads, who are you, who leads you into battle? who under the red banner, walks wounded?" We are sons of hired labourers, we are after a new world, Shors marches under the banner, a Red officer.
Cold and hungry, he lived his life, but not in vain, was his blood shed. we drove back, the ferocious foe, we've been hardened from our youth, dear is honour to us.
Silence at the riverside, the voices hushed, the sun descends, the dew falls. The horses in a frenzy whirl along, you can hear their hooves, Shors' red banner, flutters in the breeze.
