Of course, the Holy Modal Rounders number Amos quoted is by no means a "version" of McGuinn's song, it's another song altogether which just has the same title (and is, to boot, a parody of yet another unrelated song).

LEJ, thanks for the info on who sang which part for the Byrds. I've always loved David Crosby and known him as a great harmonizer, but haven't always recognized his voice in the mix of every number...
