IT doesn't take very long to think through the depth of the average thread in these parts; so I submit that is not the reason for more posts faster. More likely, I would guess, is an increasing population of posters in the same time continuum. If we were to expand the time continuum, or expel all posters who have arrived since your earlier data-point, the phenomenon would go away.
