Thread Name: Jingle Bells(Nov 19)
Subject: RE: JIngle Bells(Nov 19)
There is a house near me that has had a tree and lights up since the 1st November. Ironically, it's usually this house that puts the tree out in the garden on Boxing day.

'Jingle Bells' was written in 1857 by James Pierrepoint as a Thanksgiving song but was so popular it was repeated at Christmas. Hearing it in November, in the US, is entirely appropriate, but not so in the UK.

I can't do blickies here at work but try this site: http://www.carols.org.uk/jingle_bells.htm for more information.

Our office has foregone the usual Christmas parties this year. We're about to move premises and no-one knows when. Bet your bottom wossname it'll be the day after we've got the decorations up. That and the manager asked a team of 60+ staff for suggestions and got only 3 replies. And only 2 of them were printable!
