Everyman is good on a Tuesday night about 8.30. Run by Shirley Peden and Hughie (of Spinners fame) & Christine Jones. Good food in the Bistro too, and great beer.

If you want to try a little further afield there's the Bothy Folk Club in Southport on a Sunday night (8 p.m.). Lancashire singer Pat Ryan next Sunday; singers' nights altenate weeks.   Also other stuff in local pubs, notably Lancashire Night tomorrow (Tues 27th, Lancashire Day) in the Guest House.
