Just get a crossover network cable, net the two together, and copy everything over. It's a bit of a pfaff to get started- you need to make sure all the protocols are setup on both machines, especially TCP/IP and NETBUI, and share the old commputer's hard disk, but once you can see the W98 drive from the new machine, you can just copy the lot over.
