Compared to other versions in the same archaic era, WinME is generally conceded to be the least stable, most easily infected, and has poorest compatibility with third party software of that time.

If you're still "running WinME" you're mostly just running Win98SE, if you kept up with the updates you could get before they both went obsolete, because refusal of most sysadmins to try to keep WinME running forced Mickey to dump most of their support effort back on the earlier version, with most "patches" being made for Win98SE and ported off to WinME as an afterthought.

But a bad reputation doesn't necessarily mean she's it's not a lot of fun. Once you learn to stick to the tricks it likes to do, it can be a fun playmate.
