I don't think we need to be this spiky about a foolish thread title. And even if some of us really really hate Gene Burton's music, we could at least be civil about the way we express it. I don't hate it, but am not all that favourable impressed.

It does seem that some of the approbation of Gene Burton is based on the preferment of songwriters above interpreters of folk songs, and I of course am in the other camp.
