For the second time in a matter of months, the area around my eyes is reacting to "something". An online search says it is probably a cosmetic so I have to stop using all cosmetics and then add them back one at a time to see what the problem is. Meantime I am using petroleum jelly to keep the area moist.
It starts out red and irritated then dries out and flakes. The first time it happened I thought it was sunburn. Bacitricin & Cortaid don't help. Antihistamine tablets at night do but I can't take them during the day. Aloe irritates.

Any suggestions for easing the redness and scaliness? I look weird and it hurts.
My eyes are not red or irritated or running or gummy - not blethoria. Just the skin under and the upper lid in the crease. Doctor says it is an allergy and use petroleum jelly to keep it moist. After a week it is worse.
