I don't know about songs from this period but I've just read a remarkable novel which gives the Turkish point of view from the collapse of the Ottoman Empire until the Greco-Turkish war of the 1920s. It's called 'Birds Without Wings' by Louis de Bernieres (of 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin' fame). It's a bit like a Turkish 'War and Peace' - highly recommended.
