Perils of the Journey to Santa

Christmas was coming, the grownups were humming
And I was beginning to see
That no single mention was made of intentions
To make certain Santa knew me

So I said... Cho.

Mother or Father or somebody other
Must take me to Santa Claus please
It's a long way and dangerous
Prob'ly quite strangerous
I certainly can't go alone
Cause it's under the alligators
and through a dark tunnel
To get to old Santa Claus' home

Mother said honey that's really quite funny
Whatever on earth do you mean?
Santa lives northerly, alligators are southerly
And no tunnels lie in between

But I said... Cho.

So Father is taking me and Mother is baking me
Cookies to eat on the way
And I'm taking some 'taters to throw at the 'gators
Whatever my parents might say

Cause I know... Cho.
