Subject: RE: The Hut People-play in Beverley, 10 December
THE Hut People are the guests at NOT The White Horse Folk Club on Monday December 10 at the Foresters Arms, Beckside, Beverley.
The group are a piano accordion and percussion duo, both virtuosos from different ends of the musical spectrum.

The accordionist is Sam Pirt, who plays with 422, who won the Radio 2 Folk Awards a few years ago. Sam is a very experienced musician who is well established in the folk world and the founder of Ethno England. He plays and runs workshops in folk festivals throughout the year.

Gary Hammond is the percussionist, having for the past 12 years recorded the toured with The Beautiful South. He has worked with Nina Simone and many other groups within the world music and jazz/pop world.

Both musicians have a love of Scandinavian, English and European folk tunes and a love for rhythm which comes together with an accordion/multi percussion twist.

Was it a good night then?
