Thread Name: Lyr Req: Savage Sam
Subject: Savage Sam
Still looking for the bridge to this one....here's the lyrics as I've been able to piece them together so far. It's the theme song to the early '60's Disney version of Savage Sam. Virtually impossible to find a copy of the movie because it is no longer considered 'pc', and I've exhausted what little I know in trying to find sources. Any help is greatly appreciated, as always, ~Elle

There's a hound dog out in Texas
He says he belongs to me
When he's on the trail I can follow his tail
To the land of the wild country
He was born to love the mountains
The prairie land so free
He can go anywhere on the fat from a bear
Chase a bobcat to his mountain lair
Or run him up a tree
In the land of the wild country
.......
We were born to roam the country
Old Savage Sam and me
We were born in the west in the land that's best
Folks out here never get much rest
With dogs and boys like me
In the land of the wild country
......
