Thanks so far; I'd assumed the "remote computer" (from BT's point of view) was mine? So does it mean that it's actually BT that's disconnecting (British Telecom)? No problems with Telephone Line. I've been going through the various bits of Programs etc., and I'll certainly make sure that I un-check the "always connect at this speed" one. I'll also get in touch with BT and see about what number to dial, although it seems from the Disc supplied that this instructuin is given automatically. Fingers crossed, GUEST
