"See you real soon," said Cruella de Villeneuve upon entering the vast secret DisneyStudio that hovered between the big moons of Callisto.
"See you real soon," replied the Chief of Cartooning and Replication, as he turned from his console.
"Report?" she said sleekly, reminding the Chief as she always did of a Siamese cat licking herself. He must capture that gesture for the prototype felinoids in Polaris.
"The Songdealer says that the demonstration against the ancient Druid forests during the tribal rising proved that the new version of Musicide works beautifully. They can hardly wait to try it against the Elders on Tern, if there are elders on Tern."
Cruella stroked herself lightly.
"But can you be sure that this will be the end, Chief?"
The Chief of Cartooning smiled. "We are really just updating the original principle, Your Disney, only moving further upstream towards the origins. On Earth we Disneyfied the branches and leaves. But that was 500 years ago. Much more powerful musicidal properties now: root work now. Putting a drumtrack to the ancient rhythms, that's what it's all about now."
Cruella de Villeneuve patted him on the shoulder, and held it just that second longer that meant so much to Mouseketerians. "Walt would be so proud." She moved off towards the transport bay. Now to Trascardaria, and the next phase of the plan. She entered the bay. Trascaderia, the advertising planet. She could hardly wait.
After she dissolved, the Chief turned back to his console. Of course he couldn't tell her everything. He had left out the one little troubling detail. Oh well, he was sure that the escapee had been Disneyfied anyway -- no one on the planet could have escaped the Musicide spraying. He looked around, and reassuring himself that he was alone in the console room, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a little pad of paper, on each sheet of which he had pencilled a stick figure, each one slightly different from the previous one. He riffled the pad for a few moments, watching the jerky little figure dance back and forth, and then went back to his Cosmic Disney Corp design work.
