Thread Name: Lyr ADD: The Wind That Shakes the Barley
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Wind That Shakes the Barley
re Declan's ditty, the way I know it starts off:

As I was going to Dublin I met a little tailor,
I put him in my pocket for fear the dogs would chase him;
the dogs began to bark at him and I began to beat him,
I put him in the pocket for fear the dogs would eat him.

so there are words for both A& B parts of the tune. 'eat' and 'beat' are pronounced to rhyme with 'late'.
