Does anyone have the tune to the verse?

That was the question I asked back in September.

I've just been looking through a book of twenties songs that has been sitting on top of my piano for ages, when I came across Side by Side, complete with the two verses posted above and the piano score.

It's not the first time that I have spent time looking for a lyrics or music, only to find it right under my nose, in a book that I had bought for another song.
