I see the link to Squirrel recipes but how about a recipe for Squireels??

Acorn Pie
(not really made of acrons but looks like it kinda)

Ingredients:
1 9 inch Graham Cracker Pie Crust
3 Eggs lightly beaten
1 cup of light corn syrup or Golden Syrup (I prefer Golden Syrup)
2 Tablespoons of butter, melted
1 Teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 cup castor sugar (superfine sugar to US readers)
1 1/2 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the beaten eggs, syrup, melted butter, vanilla and sugar. Mix well and then stir in the nuts. Pour contents of bowl into the crust and bake for 45 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
