About earth tones:

My little bungalow doesn't get enough sun, so much of the downstairs is white. I know, I know, white is so 70's! I don't care.

One day I decided to paint the dining room ceiling pink. It's a sophisticated pink, not a Barbie pink. This way, when we are having a dinner party, we look better than we have a right to.

After a few years, I painted the living room ceiling blue, just because I was bored with all the white.

Recently it occurred to me that instead of earth tones, I have sky tones. I think that 'sky tones' sounds a lot more sophisticated than 'pink and blue.'
