Interesting.
There are happy members of my family in the GTA (Toronto and Mississauga) and Ottawa, but small towns are even too big for me though I live in one (pop 7500) out of necessity. I'm a fish out of water in the city...nice places to visit but I couldn't live in one.
I like Ottawa, Charlottetown (or anywhere else in PEI), Halifax, even Toronto (heck, the 12th Fret is there!) but happy means small to me.
