Subject: RE: The Three Crows folk group
Hi Peter,
I've only just found this site.
We, my wife, Mave and I, saw the Three Crows at a school in Stalybridge in the 70's, possibly St. Damian's and they were great. Their harmony, comedy and rapport with the audience was superb.
We also saw them at the Park Bridge Visitor Centre at Bardsley in Ashton at a folk meeting.
I have a tape called "The Three Crows Still Going". All songs arranged by the Crows, Bass & Key boards- Paul Kempster.
It was engineered by Paul Kempster & Chris Birchenall.
Mixed by Paul & the Crows.
Side one:-
Bread & Fishes.
Three score & ten.
Streets of London.
Coalhole cavalry.
Green fields of France.
Dirty old town.
Old triangle.
Poor childhood, a monologue recited by Fran.
Liverpool Lou.
Side two:-
Come landlord.
Derby ram.
Sweet 16.
Cadgwith anthem.
Seth Davy.
Ali Bali.
Murphy & the bricks.
Now I'm easy.
Nightingale.
Leaving of Liverpool.
Goodnight & God bless.
We now live on Ellen Vannin, the Isle of Man, so don't get across to often to folk concerts, but we do join in the sing-a-rounds in our local pub.
Should you want a copy of the tape, I can try & copy it for you onto another tape.
Regards,
T. C.
