Today I moved my computer out of the cold basement, and now its perched on top of the disused sewing machine table. I consider this a milestone in recovery, as I am beginning to realize that I no longer must maintain museums or monuments to all my departed relatives. I know that Gail's children will object to some of these changes ("What did you do with Mom's widget?!!?"), but they have had ample time to reclaim whatever they wanted, and now I can use the space.
