After about four months of negotiation, we have the go-ahead for one event, and if that is a success it will translate to a regular fourth Tuesday of the month slot.

So, who's going to come and help make it a success?

I have already asked some of the people attending Sally Ironmonger's open mike, with several positive responses, but the more we get, the more we'll get.

The Bull has a large bar where we will be able to set up in comfort. They serve a better than usual pint of Courage Best, and often a guest beer, and if we put enough drinkers in there to liven up a dead weekday, and of course pull in more listeners, we might have some influence on the chosen brew.

This will be rather like the Canopus and Lower Stoat venues, for those of you who remember, and the managers of the pub are a long term fixture, so we should have no "New boss syndrome" for quite a while.
