What a fabulous night....an old fashioned folk music revue show with lots of special guests popping on and off, interludes within sets etc etc..no chance of getting bored. Everyone gave great performances but the whole definitely exceeded the sum of the parts. Plus there were more instruments onstage than you'd reasonably expect to see down at Hobgoblin Music.
Vicki Swan showed astonishing versatility on double bass, Scottish small pipes, low whistle, flute and (joy of joys) the nyckelharpa. What an amazing instrument...and she only started playing it last March.
Last night's Wild Goose line-up would make a GREAT act at any festival...and I'd thoroughly recommend them to any club also.

ps almost forgot we also got a song and some melodeon tunes from Tony Hall (who played on Penguin Eggs)
