I don't think Ernie -- if you mean the Sesame Street puppet -- would be a good choice. There are rumours he might be gay. I don't thinkhe could survive the backlash from the right. And in any case he is blue, and we haven't yet succeeded in electing a brown person, let alone someone from one of the extreme ends of the spectrum.

I would recommend to Bobert that as a clear path to the greatest good and his own maximum chances to election that he take the unprecedented step of nominationg P-Vine as his Veep.
