A certain friend of my wife's used to regularly send her emailed jokes, cartoons, clever and/or sentimental sayings, etc. There was such sheer volume of stuff coming from this person that it got to be rather tiresome. My wife would usually delete it without reading it.

Finally she had a conversation with this friend, and learned that the friend was on several mailing lists herself, and often forwarded stuff without reading it! Can you imagine?

I wonder if that kind of thing goes on with political stuff.
