I'm not at all sure about Montreal, but I'd be glad to annex Vancouver. Of course, I'm not at all sure about any of the US east of the Rockies, either. Easterners (in either country) always seem to be causing trouble. The only armed conflict between the two countries (or their precedent polities) in the west was over a pig, and I think they settled it by having a joint pig roast.
