Believe me, although it generally involves wearing full wetsuits or dry suits or whatever they calls 'em, there are rabid surfers right here in Nova Scotia, where we do indeed get some mighty fine wave action.

The water can even be quite warm - after hurricane Hugo, our Atlantic beaches were bathed in deliciously warm water, and a few poor disoriented tropical fish were plucked out of the sea around that time.

I agree, Maine should really have been another Maritime Province. Sorry you guys had the bad luck or poor judgement to end up as a State!
