Hi,
This is just a note to introduce a project that we're about to launch.
Celtic Music Radio is a community radio station, based in Glasgow (Scotland), which will focus on traditional and contemporary music with a celtic/Scottish/folk influence.
We are currently streaming a test transmission via the net - see http://www.celticmusicradio.net - and available via the "Reciva" internet radio database. On Wednesday 16th January, we "go live", and will be broadcasting on 1530kHz on the medium waveband (AM) in the Glasgow area.
Many of our presenters are gigging musicians or well-known faces in the folk/celtic music world.
We are closely associated with the Celtic Connections festival which takes place at various Glasgow venues from 16th January-4 February, and will be broadcasting around 7 hours of material from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall every day, including music, interviews with the performers, and live coverage of all performances on the Danny Kyle Open Stage.
More info on http://www.celticmusicradio.net
If you're visiting Celtic Connections, come up and say "hello" - we'll be in the Strathclyde Suite in the concert hall, and will also have reporters at various other venues.
