I don't believe in capital punishment for human beings, Bobert...except in extreme cases of military misbehaviour under wartime in an active war zone...that's a special case. In other words, I would execute my own military personnel if they were caught raping civilians, looting, and a few specific military crimes of that sort. That's because war is a situation where you simply can't allow things to get that far out of control with your own forces, it's like a cancer that can destroy a whole army and you must take immediate action to nip it in the bud. I would also give orders in some cases to fire on civilian looters if it was happening in a war zone. I would not execute normally civilians for crimes they are found guilty of, however, no matter what they have done, I would imprison them. So if Cheney was found guilty of treason, murder, whatever, I would imprison him.
