Thread Name: Lyr Req: The Princess & the Frog (Michael Smith)
Subject: Lyr Req: Michael Smith: frogs and Truman Capote?
There is a wild song by Michael Smith that I have heard sung by Robbie O'Connell and by Cindy Mangsen. The verses are a variation on the tale of the princess kissing the frog; the frog asks the princess for a kiss, she says there are so many frogs she can't kiss them all; Mrs. Frog comes along and says frog has a thing about kissing princesses but be careful; before he kissed her, SHE was a princess too. The chorus is a stream of nonsense phrases, of which I can recall only a handful; toady, toady, Truman Capote, faith and begorrah it's Maureen O'Hara, on a dreary Sunday morning.
Does anybody know the words?
