I will give all the cows an extra hug on Wednesday evening. My boss is keeping four, two of which are dry and waiting to calve, so she will be milking two. I don't know how many she plans to keep in the long run, but when this all blew up several months ago she was going to keep two for calves and house milk. She still wants to raise a few calves and show them. I'm going to offer to go over and lend a hand occasionally in return for some 'real' milk. Two of my favourite cows are going though. *sob,

It's a good idea about the goats, but one still needs somewhere to keep them. Goats in this country need good housing and protection from weather as they are not as hardy as sheep.
