I like a yellow kitchen. Its warm and inviting. Be sure to paint the ceiling white, semi-gloss to reflect the light. I noticed you have a lot of plants. Green, white and soft yellow is lovely.

You didn't mention tiles. I, too, am giving my kitchen a face-lift but I wasted about $1000.00 by choosing the wrong tiles. I bought high glazed, ceramic 4" tiles for a backsplash. Wrong! They are too thick, have no ridges on the back and require a cement board backing. Now I am going with off-white. No design, no colour and no more big ideas!

No anyone who wants beautiful Italian, porcelain tiles (bisque, silveleaf and pottery yellow that can only be used for countertops)? They would be too slippery for the floor.
