I am broken up about the demise of "Shane"

It has been a struggle just to carry on. I have tried posting to 85B but just have not been able to, the pain is still too fresh.

Just when it seems I am working through it something happens. Just last night, for instance, I was laying in bed and heard an owl hoot (remember the owls?). Just one owl though, not two like it was before, and s/he flew off after only two whooos. I can only assume that the owl was confirming that Shane has gone, possibly for good.

What is to become of us?
