It Looks like the late May Bank Holiday, this year, though I have tried to get the rest of the committee to see sense and look at other dates, It does seem though that whenever you organise a festival there will be one that clashes with it somewhere!
Also Historically there used to be a Whitsuntide fair at Bude, so it is a sort of revival of a past tradition.
