Thankyou all.

My sister came up from Cornwall with her husband for my birthday in time to catch 15 minutes of my gig on the Fri.

We had a good day. We all went for meal at The Gate at Lower Harsay near Ripley. he seems to be looking for acoustic act and apparently there is some sort of 'session' there sundays and mondays although the landlord was only prepared to recommend the one on monday.   Emma, I thought about your N3 gang for a residency.

My ticker being whatt it is I needed a rest, because I had planned something for the evening.

My brotherin law is a great fan of Dave peabody - ever since the days of Peabody and McNulty, and Daves tour backing up Big Boy Henry. So we caught Dave's Band at The Musician in Leicester. Robert, my brother in law was ecstatic. I thought they were incredibly loud. Very good, but very loud. John Coughlan from the original Quo is part of the band as are a couple of members of Mungo Jerry.

I asked Dave Peabody, about Hugh McNulty. Apparently he sees him about every three months to socialise. he hung up his tea chest bass when he quit their gig together. he's doing 'an ordinary job'. Didn't specify whether it was selling cold call double glazing or brain surgery. But not music

Dave said, Well.....he was never gona make a living standing on one leg and playing one string, was he....? Whereas, I'm still out there........ doing it!'

I thought about mentioning the late Fritz Richmond, but thought better of it...

Thanks for your birthday greetings, and many thanks to you Emma for coming to see me, even if it was to see someone else, and I just happened to be there.
