Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at Jed Marum's first concert with an unruly dog who chased the cats, defecated in the upstairs bedroom and then barked enough for the neighbors to mention it to me later in the week.
So if there is any chance at all that Dex will chase the cats, I have to insist that he not visit. By the time Dex misbehaves, the damage will be done. Alice and Ed will reciprocate by urinating in odd places and I can't tolerate that nor blame them - it's their house. As it is, it's taken a few years for Lizzie to finally show herself at gatherings. The dogs who currently visit live with cats and know better than to chase. Seamus is actually on snuggling terms with Alice and Fred.
Sorry Maine Dog but I can't take the chance that it won't work out.
