Thanks for the clicky Piers and I have done a search but Workington doesn't get a mention , maybe its just THAT type of place. Something will turn up . I like a bevvy and never mix with driving so the other places are a bit off the radar , but something will turn up. Pity I wasn't going to Ulverston - I have some happy memories of that town some 40 Years ago - and it sounds a lively place for folkie - orientated events. Ah !!! The Hope and Anchor - first place I saw dominoes with 9 Spots ( i.e double Nine ) when all I had seen up to then ( and to this day ) was the double six. The Hope and Anchor if my memory serves me right was on the same inclined street as that where Stan Laurel was born - I was in digs their as an 18 / 19 years old. Cheers to all for trying
