Burdon is the presenter and he introduces folklorists who relate "The House of the Rising Sun" to "The Unfortunate Rake," the forerunner of ballads such as "The Sailor (Soldier) Cut Down in his Prime" and "The Streets of Laredo." Various musical examples floated in and out. Very well done.
