In another thread I mentioned that a big memory for me is the smell of burning starfish sperm. It was on the Oregon coast in the town of Depoe Bay. When starfish are removed from a tide pool, they react as if it is low tide and release the stuff. It dripped onto an oil stove we had and sizzled as it wafted to our noses. And I can conjure that up whenever I'm so inclined. Yes, a real fond memory of a good time in our lives---1967.
