Yes, it would be better to employ people in the USA (and Canada). It would be better to cancel NAFTA now, and end the exporting of our jobs to places where they have what virtually amounts to slave labour. It would be better to encourage the revitalization of North American industry by starting to develop more domestic Green power industries (wind and solar, for example). Such a move, if taken seriously, could create millions of jobs in North America, reduce our dependence on oil, and put money in the pockets of the public by paying them WAGES, not by handing them an envelope of spending money to go and "party" with...
