I'm afraid I can add nothing other than you get what you pay for and each has it's uses and lmitations.

I never use my birdge 4 string for American reels they sound better on an amplified wooden one.

However - Sweet georgia Brown and a few other tunes I would always use the Bridge, there is so much more you can put in to the music.

I've played the Cheaper stick type instruments and frankly I would onuy have the wooden fiddle if I had not discovered the bridge. I now expect lots of stick owners to jump all over me.

Like lots of things with fidles it is a very personal feel that you know when it is right for you and what you can do with it.

Ray is right about practice, though I still use my wooden one for that.

For 69 buy it if you don't like it sell it.
