Once you have copied the information from the source go to your e-mail application.

Create a new e-mail.
Click in the message area of the new e-mail and click on the menu Edit, Paste.
The information should be pasted into your e-mail.

Clipboard resides in the background and allows you to copy data and then move to another location/application and paste.
